The only FAWM song I ever got around to demo-ing, this is an exploration of the tension between freedom and discipline with jazz chords and Casio drums.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by the huge amounts of information struggling to gain control of our heads day in and day out. This song is my attempt to make sense of the madness and take the struggle where it belongs. I’m not sure about the drums - I wanted this to be a more acoustic-sounding production with “live” percussion - and the vocal needs a few re-takes, but I think it’s basically there.
Not quite a “new” demo, as I’ve been sitting on this one for a while. It’s just a little groove I threw together late one night last year, very much in the vein of my Aquamarine excursions. It doesn’t go much of anywhere, but I’m partial to the combination of atmospherics and rhythmic elements.
