We JAM(fest)in’
This weekend, Carla and I will be playing at JAMFest, a huge Christian music festival that’s held annually at Funtown USA.
I’m not usually nervous before we play somewhere, but those butterflies are kicking in already, probably because this is such a Big Deal Event. Please keep us in your prayers as we get ready!
We’re even adding a musician to the ranks for this show: our good friend Dave Wakefield is going to join us on the sax. The mixture of his playing and our usual stuff has sounded really sweet in rehearsal, so I hope to be able to “bootleg” our set and post some songs on the site for everyone all three of you to hear (now I just need to find a boombox or portable tape recorder with a built-in microphone…)
Anyway, this should be a pretty cool thing - I know last year, even though we kept running into little annoyances, it was ultimately a really good time.
