Concert Season
Something about the warming of the weather makes it seem like a great time for live music.
I’m getting excited because not only are Carla, our friend Paul, and I going to see Derek Webb in a few weeks, but a few weeks after that, we’re planning on seeing the Indigo Girls at Merrill Auditorium. It’s a testament to Merrill’s diverse programming that we’ve been there four times in the past 2 years and seen something completely different every time - South African a cappella with Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Contemporary Christian pop with Chris Rice, a silent film with organ accompaniment, and now the Indigo Girls.
It should be a cool next few months…

I’ve been missing concerts. From December ‘02 until January ‘04, I saw a show at least once a month. I can’t remember if I made it to something in February, but I’m pretty sure that I didn’t. I saw Sandra once in early, early March, but since then … nothin’.
Of course, next weekend I’ll correct that, with CC and OtR on consecutive nights three states apart.
