Christmastime is here
Carla and I finally got our tree tonight. We usually take a day-long extended family trip to “Bob’s Choose & Cut Christmas Trees,” a huge lot where they hand you a plastic sled and a saw to bag your own arboreal holiday symbol, but our crazy schedule wouldn’t allow us to do it this year. Instead, we visited a local homeless/women’s shelter that had some pre-cut trees out as a fund-raiser and bought one from them. It was nowhere near as manly as cutting down a tree yourself (cue caveman-like grunting noise), but we had the tree home and decorated within an hour and a half, which has to be a record for us.
And you know, it wouldn’t be Christmas without some traditional seasonal music to fully flesh out the festive atmosphere. When I first heard the version of O Holy Night on this page, I felt myself tearing up. From laughter. Anyone who’s heard someone strain to reach high notes that are a little out of their reach will truly appreciate this. And dig the “whisper singing” at the beginning, too - Shatner would be proud!

I’ll have to update the link so it points to Miserable Melodies.

Weird!! I found this song later and in the back of my mind I could swear I read about it somewhere. I posted about it on my blog. Now I remember where I read it first!!
Anyway… yeah… it’s just awful! haha
