A break in the hipster fog
The Onion AV Club takes a break from canonizing Neutral Milk Hotel and the like to recognize Pink Floyd’s Animals for the brilliance it is. Although the “usual touches like celestial keyboards…are gone” bit makes me wonder if the reviewer listened to either “Dogs” or “Sheep” past the 5 minute mark - Wright’s got some sweet synth and organ stuff going on in the mid-sections of both.
(It looks like this is shaping up to be my month of classic rock musings. Weird.)
