Isn’t the Light OK?

Maybe it’s just because I watched Stand­ing in the Shad­ows of Motown recently, but I found this post at Kempa.com about the Motown Archives being demol­ished to make way for Super Bowl park­ing really depressing.

I mean, tear­ing down the build­ing is one thing, but not archiv­ing all the doc­u­ments in it? And not just bureau­cratic paper­work, but ses­sion notes and pro­duc­tion details…sheesh.

Update: Geof points us toward pho­tolog The Snow­suit Effort, which shows  yet another side of Detroit you’re not likely to see dur­ing the Super Bowl.
