November…and the trees are still bare…

It seems that October is becoming the month I don’t post (and yes, I know the actual U2 lyric begins “October” and not “November). I’ve spent the entire month of October in a haze, just letting life drag me around from one meaningless situation to the next. Raking leaves to the sound of the new Death Cab for Cutie album under grey skies. Yeah — it seems that Autumn brings out the morose romantic in me. I start to feel like the 15-year-old who holed himself up in his bedroom writing horrendous short fiction while listening to the Cure on infinte repeat.

Not that the aforementioned teenager was ever me

Some can’t wait for the colder weather, but I’ve been enjoying the mild temperatures lately. There’ll be time enough for layered clothing and the hibernation instinct soon.

Yeah, but we never get the hibernation stuff down here. :)
