Another guy named Steve

I’m not a fan of talk radio, especially of the conservative variety.

If you had told me a year ago that one of my favorite things to listen to would be a talk radio show hosted by a Christian conservative, I would have asked you what you were under the influence of, and where it could be purchased.

So, it’s weird that I’ve grown addicted to the Steve Brown Etc. podcast. I always knew Steve Brown as the guy who did the short Key Life ministry spots on our local Christian radio station (and sounded a bit like Principal Skinner from the Simpsons). On his weekly radio show/podcast he discusses faith, politics, and pop culture, and does so with humor and grace rarely seen in the more vocal segment of conservatism. Not only that, but there’s an offshoot program called Etcetera that’s even cooler — I’ve linked their blog on my sidebar. I can’t always listen to an entire episode of Steve Brown Etc. (especially when his guests are more political in nature), but I make a point to catch the Etcetera podcast each week.

Just another example of a Steve making my commute easier to bear.
