Someone found this site in a Google search for “al pacino cat gone like lyrics.”
Sounds like someone’s been mis-hearing their Switchfoot. 
It’s interesting to see things in retrospect. I wrote that post about Switchfoot last April, lamenting that they hadn’t made much of a dent in the mainstream with their most recent album. Now that they’ve made the rounds of all the late night talk shows and “Meant to Live” has gotten some major radio play, it seems strange to think that was ever the case.
