According to the Portland Press Herald, our area got 14 inches of snow this past weekend, and that’s not even the worst in the state.

If nothing else, a bit of forced hermitry did us good. We got to finish up some Christmas shopping in a relatively deserted Maine Mall, sleep in on Sunday, and hang out with some friends.

I was also told by some co-workers that our extended shopping jag on Saturday gave me some unintended television time. We were walking around the t-shirt cart trying to find a gift for someone, when we discovered a reporter from the WGME 13 news crew interviewing shoppers who braved the weather. Unfortunately, we weren’t interviewed, but apparently got in enough of the frame that I was being hailed as “the famous TV guy” this morning. So, I guess that’s 14 minutes left, huh?
