All quiet on the recording front...or is it? Posted Wednesday, October 8, 2003 by andrew

You might think we've been resting on our laurels since finally releasing "Prodigal Songs" this past summer. Well, you'd be right, sort of. We've been mostly concentrating on playing live anywhere and everywhere folks will have us (if you're reading this and booking for a venue, please give us a call!), but with a recent minor upgrade to the home studio,we may be ready to crank out some new tracks relatively soon!

We've also been doing some background vocals for Keith Parry's upcoming CD "The You In Me." We'll let you know as soon as it's available - this is going to be an awesmoe project (and not just because we're singing on it)!

Did I mention we're on the radio?? Posted Friday, August 22, 2003 by andrew

Not only are we in the Local Talent rotation at WWWA in Augusta, but we're on WRFR community radio in Rockland. We can be heard alongside other independent artists on the show Disc Frisk Presents, hosted by Steve Lea.

We're on the radio! Posted Wednesday, June 25, 2003 by andrew

To celebrate the release of our new CD, Prodigal Songs, we'll be doing an on-air interview at WWWA FM 95.3, in Augusta, ME this Friday at 1:30 PM. Unfortunately, they don't have streaming internet audio, so those of you outside the area won't be able to hear it as it happens. However, we'll be getting a recording of the show, so please let us know if you're interested in hearing it. We may also be able to get portions of the interview on our website for you to listen to at your convenience. We will keep you posted!

The next single... Posted Wednesday, June 4, 2003 by andrew

We are pleased to announce that "Not the Same" is the new single from Prodigal Songs. The song has been added to IndieHeaven's radio single database and can be accessed by radio stations all over the country. Check it out in the "top radio songs" chart at Indieheaven.com!

We've also been updating the website. Check out the brand-new "Images" page for photos from recent concerts, and take a peek at our new Music page for streaming MP3 links, chord charts, video and more!

The wait is over! Posted Sunday, May 25, 2003 by andrew

Video! Posted Thursday, March 27, 2003 by andrew

Just uploaded a video clip of us performing from our last gig at the Rapids. It's short (about 12 seconds), and you'll need Quicktime in order to watch it. Check it out here!

Things are moving along slowly but surely on the CD front...we hope to have it ready for you all by the end of next month!

It's done! Posted Monday, February 10, 2003 by andrew

The CD is being shipped to the mastering plant today!

You should be able to order your very own copy in the next few weeks...stay tuned for details.

Thanks to everyone who came to see us at the Rapids this past Saturday - we had a great time! Judy Futral was also kind enough to take some photos and video clips from the performance, which will hopefully be showing up on the Rapids' website soon!

Indieheaven Posted Monday, February 3, 2003 by andrew

We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Indieheaven, one of the premier websites for independent Christian music on the web. Check out our new page there at indieheaven.gospelcom.net/artists/andrewandcarla - we have streaming RealAudio samples (about a minute or so apiece) of some songs from the album, including the Indiheaven exclusive preview of "Thrust of Grace."

"Still" has also been accepted into Indieheaven's radio servicing program. For the next 30 days, radio stations from all over will exclusively be able to download the song for airplay. As of right now, it's the 26th most-popular song on Indiheaven's "top radio songs" chart!

As for the CD, we're finally finished recording. I'll be taking some time over the next week or two to edit the last sessions, and then we'll be sending it out for mastering. Looks like we're right on target for a mid-to-late March release date! Woo hoo!

The end is near! Posted Tuesday, January 14, 2003 by andrew

No...don't rush into your fallout shelters just yet. I mean the end of the seemingly eternal mixdown process for this album! We have two more songs to complete, and that's it! Also, we have one more guest musician, Doug Sholl, who will be adding some chorded harp to a few songs. Look for an "official" release of the album in March (April at the absolute latest!).

New gig! Posted Monday, December 30, 2002 by andrew

We were just contacted this weekend by the people who put on the annual Spirit Jam at Gorham High School, and we've been chosen as one of five or six groups to play this year's Spirit Jam! It should be a great time, not to mention the first time we've ever shared a stage with one of my favorite bands, Three Days Down.

We don't have full details yet, but will keep you all posted.

In the studio... Posted Tuesday, December 10, 2002 by andrew

We're taking a break from live shows for the moment to concentrate on finishing up the new CD. We're about halfway through the mixdown process, and it's going very smoothly so far. Currently being mixed down: "Closest Friend," which is going to sound a lot "bigger" than it ever has live.

..but our CD isn't the only thing we're using the studio for these days. I've also been recording a demo for acoustic singer/songwriter Aaron Tidd, which has been a really cool experience.

Welcome! Posted Wednesday, December 4, 2002 by andrew

After weeks of trying to make things happen around here, I've finally managed to get our new site up and running with something other than a messageboard. Hope you enjoy it, and the many additions you'll see in the weeks to come.

Speaking of the messageboard, come on over and hang out! Click the messageboard link on the top menu bar, and register a username to join in the fun. It gets lonely, y'know?
